After the holidays - Christmas and New Year, it would be the holiday of the hearts that will be celebrated next worldwide on February 14 or Valentine's day to many.

Flowers, greeting cards, balloons, and many confectionery products like cakes, chocolates and candies will be seen everywhere as they became favorite gifts for the love ones. Everything will have the red hearts theme, the icon and color of love and its celebration. Like many Western-oriented holidays, Valentine's day is one of the anticipated one, especially for lovers, couples, etc. Parties and some events are a tribute to this day.

Everybody wants to spread the love of th Valentine's (who wouldn't), but there are some places that don't favor with this.Islamic countries like Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are notorious for being anti-Valentines.

Adding the list is Iran, which has recently banned the celebration of the love day.Selling and distributing all things related to Valentine's would be legally charged. All items from from roses, teddy bears, greeting cards that depicts the celebration is included in the ban. Iran, being a closely Islamic country is not anti-love at all, they just don't want the western culture and customs to topple their early beliefs.

Iran have their own day for spreading love called and it is called Sepandarmazgan or Esfandegan which is now being forgotten. Most young Iranians don't know about this celebration compared to their knowledge over Valentines.

Sepandārmazgān is an ancient Persian culture which is a celebration for love and earth. This celebrated on the 18th or 24th of February, depending on the date system used. This days is tributed to the earth which is translate to a mother, a women. This day also a times to give the ladies a great day as men venerates them by giving them presents and obey them to be reminded of their respect for women.

There is also Mehregan, a pre- Islamic celebration to honor love, affection, and friendship. Mehr is also known as the Autumn Festival for the Persians.
