Summertime is on! Beach and resort businesses are at its peak. But as the trend of continuing price increases, we need to find better and efficient ways of enjoying the summer without hurting your pocket. Once in a while, we need to relieve ourselves to the stress of working, studying or any other tiring activities. One of the best ways of nurturing family relations is through planning a picnic.

Picnic is a good choice of activity to engage this summer especially for those who are in low budget. In addition to that, it is also an effective way of strengthening the family’s bond. There are ways to creatively plan a fun-packed picnic for you and your family to get your desirable result. First, look for the best possible location for the picnic. Then, plan any additional activities such as competitive or mind games aside from eating together as family. But make sure that the activities should be appropriate and applicable to the location of your choice. Examples of activities which you may find interesting are mind games, board games, card games, kite flying or creative picture taking. Best activities are those that will allow close interaction between the members of the family. For those who have small number of family members, horseback riding, biking, boating, fishing or any activities which involves the family as a whole are recommended. To spice up the excitement of picnic, try to make creative designs to the packed lunch to be served. Create different cuts for hotdogs, shape chicken nuggets or try putting creative dressings to the fish fillet. After taking your lunch, always remember to maintain and teach the young ones with the proper manner. After finishing the lunch and the activities as well, trash and used materials should properly be placed in the garbage bins.

There is more to just spending your money to an expensive getaway or extravagant dinner in a five-star hotel. What matters most is the essence of your vacation. It’s not how expensive nor cheap your summer bonding are, what’s more important is you have your family as a whole, you hangout with them and you are maintaining your strong and tight relationship with them.
