An article about broken families is what I have been contemplating before to write about, now I have the courage to do write one about such and it is actually my friend's encouragement to do this so. I want to put this frustration to rest because honestly I am really sensitive when it comes to topics discussing family.

I actually have a few friends who were left mostly by their dads when they were little, most of them were too young to know why their parents had to split up. It was painful for them to grow without the presence of their dads, and I can feel their sorrow because I know how it feels to grow up with a father, with a complete family. And, I know how much they are missing in their lives. Most of my friends were, let us just say, all right on the outside but still coping on the inside. They have completely accepted the fact that they are in a broken family, but still, they wish that they are all living under the same roof - happy and satisfied.

After hearing my friends' stories about their families, there comes my realization on the importance of having a complete family. How fortunate I was, despite all the hardships we have been through, that I still have both of my parents and my grandmother as a bonus gift from God. I feel so lucky that I am not one of those teens who have to grow up and live without a mother or even a father.

I may be imperfect; I hate my dad for being such a nagger most of the times, or, sometimes my mom would be such a narrow-minded person and I end up feeling that my day is ruined. I grew up with the idea of only I can understand the things that are happening in my life. I seldom, almost never, open up some things to my parents, especially the daily happenings in my life.

I have come to realize that what we have in our family is so special. We have loads of problems to solve together but still we survive the rough roads of our life. We may never have everything but at least we never had nothing. All the praises and glory to God for He is the reason why our family is still together.
